Hill Ridge Farms

The kids and I went to Hill Ridge Farms today in Youngsville. I love this place and really wish it were closer! It's definitely closer now that we live in Raleigh (as opposed to Apex). It has a TON of stuff for the kids. Mazes, bouncy house, swing set, huge tunnel slide, farm animals to feed, hay rides, train rides, and much more. The kids had a great time and it was a perfect day because we were one of the only families there today (just before their big fall season and after school had started).
Buried in corn!

Playing in corn - kind of like a big sand box, but corn.

Here comes Evan!

Loved it!

Huge tunnel slide! Does anyone spot the cute boy and girl at the top of the ramp?

Kid sized maze

How tall am I??

Train ride, of course!

Hay maze

Kate always finds the swings!

Thirsty bus driver :)

New Sidewalk

We have really been wanting to add something to the front of our house, so Will got motivated over Labor Day weekend and built a sidewalk. Before we just had a few cement blocks that looked awful. He dug them up and built a nice sidewalk using pavers. It looks great! He had some good helpers to supervise.

1st Day of School!

Trying this blogging thing again! Today was Evan and Kate's first day of school. Evan is in the 3 year old class and Kate the 2 year old class. They both did great at drop off and seemed to have had a great day when I picked them up. Looking forward to a good school year!
It was weird when I got done with work and had an hour at the house by myself. I'm looking forward to getting some "me" time now. Definitely going to take advantage of it.
